Farm Unit

B and I started "school" this week! It's definitely more for me being able to plan and teach than B needs the enrichment, but its been a win win for both if us!

We take one or two books a week along with a letter, rhyme, color, and number and have fun with it.
Our Bible verse for the month was Gen 1:21 God created all living things that move.

Our first book

We made a different animal each day.

For the letter "B" we played with water beads. These are now a staple that B asks for every time he takes a bath!

Book 2
We made spiders out of ornaments and pipe cleaners. Then we played in the spiders giant spider web.
Usually with nursery rhymes we act them out in various ways or just chant them, but Hey Diddle Diddle lent itself nicely to this little craft.
B also painted his own spider web. He was supposed to finger paint, but surprisingly he doesn't really like gooey slimy things.

Here's our dog we made out of the letter D. B calls it his D-dawg

Book 3 and 4:

We used our senses to play in the hay.

B pretended to be a horse after we explored the taste sense!
And, of course, Gunner wanted in on the action!
Book 5 and 6

There was a lot to do with our last two books.
We made our own Big Red Barn

We Hurried! Hurried! Through the house so we could witness Hen's egg hatching
We saw what was inside a real egg (And thankfully didn't get Salmonella!)
We counted eggs in an egg carton and made an elephant for the letter E

I gotta say I have a soft spot for the latter one!
