This was another short month. We went camping, had friends come in, and Thanksgiving to distract us. But at the beginning of the month we started strong.
Our letters this week were I, J, and K. We found insects in ice (though even after reading up on the differences, I'm still not sure all the "things" in the ice are insects!). We played with the pattern blocks and letter patterns. B's getting better with the blocks. He doesn't fling them everywhere shouting "binga, binga, binga!" We made blue jean Js and ate jelly beans. We also jumped and chalked Js for Jammie. For K we made Ks out of Kixs, ate kiwis, and made a kaleidoscope and koala.
B's not a fan of the kiwi!
For our All About Me unit B and I did a lot more with books, talking, and singing than we did projects.
Jewel's b-day fell in the middle of our unit. We used her b-day to talk about growing and as an excuse to eat chocolate!
After we read the senses books B used a mirror to draw a self portrait
It's hard to see, but B put stickers on the bears different body parts.
I think he liked putting them on me more! We made two different types of microphones. One that worked and one that looked cute. We charted and talked about the difference between salt and sugar. And we looked at B's unique finger prints.
